Final field announced for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship

Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson set to duel for season-ending Charles Schwab Cup next week at Phoenix Country Club

PHOENIX – The field has been set for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club, where the top players of the 2026 PGA Tour Champions season will compete to win both the 37th annual tournament title and the season-long Charles Schwab Cup, November 12-15.

Defending Charles Schwab Cup champion Stewart Cink sits atop the standings – a spot he has held after every event this season – following a five-win campaign highlighted by senior major titles at the Senior PGA Championship and the Regions Tradition. The 2009 Open Champion, who also won last year’s Charles Schwab Cup Championship by two strokes over Steven Alker, is looking to become the first player to win the Cup in consecutive seasons since Bernhard Langer (2014-16) and just the eighth player to win it more than once.

Zach Johnson sits at No. 2 in the standings in the midst of one of the best rookie seasons in PGA Tour Champions history, notching six victories – the most by a rookie since Bruce Fleisher in 1999 – including his debut at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, as well as his first senior major title at the Kaulig Companies Championship. The two-time major champion (2007 Masters, 2015 Open Championship) trails Cink by 186,002 points entering the week and is looking to become the first rookie to win the Charles Schwab Cup. Cink and Johnson are the only players in the field with a mathematical chance to win the Cup.

A two-time Charles Schwab Cup champion (2022, 2024), Alker sits at No. 3 in the standings after winning four times this season, including back-to-back victories at the Rogers Charity Classic and The Ally Challenge in August, as well as the inaugural Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic in September. The 55-year-old has finished inside the top three in the Charles Schwab Cup in each of the past five seasons.

World Golf Hall of Fame member Pádraig Harrington enters the week at No. 4 after winning the U.S. Senior Open for the third time in five years. The 2022 Charles Schwab Cup Championship winner holds the tournament scoring record of 27-under 257. Fellow Hall of Famer Retief Goosen rounds out the top five following his win at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic in April.

The field will feature four members of the World Golf Hall of Fame (Harrington, Goosen, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh), as well as nine players who won major championships during their PGA Tour careers.

In addition, eight players are making their Charles Schwab Cup Championship debut, including six first-time winners from the 2026 season: Johnson, Scott Hend (Trophy Hassan II), Ben Crane (American Family Insurance Championship, with partner Darren Clarke), Vaughn Taylor (Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS), Rory Sabbatini (Stifel Charity Classic) and Darren Fichardt (Simmons Bank Championship).
